PROJECT STATEMENT
Our Pavilion here is a chimney. A chimney the hosting and maintaining the micro-climate to sustain a life inside. The bottom, middle, and the top chamber of the pavilion have its own distinct micro-climate, separated at the same time working as a corridor of ventilation.
One of the primary goal of our design is to minimize the material used and its environmental impact. That is the reason why the foot of the pavilion is a triangle and the form of it is the shape of a cone to maximize its inner space. The construction of pavilion is based on the Open-Structure which makes it easy for everyone to build the same pavilion without the use of a glue. Every material used in the pavilion is reuseable.
The cycle starts from the plants within space blanket. The space blanket hold and distribute the lights inside making it easy to maintain the inner environment. This material is carefully chosen. The mirror like wrinkled surface which reflects everything seeing from afar but in real, transparent from very close distance, which brings us some question marks of guessing what will be inside within it. The most outer layer is a sub-structure made of the felt which will provide proper insulation for the climate inside plus, the self-sustained, functions also as a shelf.
The unfortunate consequence of the seam made by the felt structure will be covered with this furry fabric adding more fun.
The three branches pointing to the sky are for exhausting the leftover lights coming from the inside, and warm purified air from the plant.
