The subject of "Into the Fold" is the relationship between the museum goer and the artifact. Through it's assembly and application of material, this cabinet complicates the idea of the viewing experience by flipping the narrative of observer and artifact. The cabinet folds out to welcome the observer inside, where they gaze upon the artifacts while they themselves are looked upon by those on the outside. With a multitude of materials that blur the lines between interior and exterior as well as visible and invisible, the project offers a thought-provoking visual experience that begins as soon as one steps into the fold.
