In lieu of an active stewardship, we opted to find ways that the artifacts in our temporary care could define the nature of their brief presentation together. The development of this idea distilled into two concepts: the core and the frame. The core is a body generated from the artifacts themselves; a single view of each brought together to make a new profile literally grows to make a new form. The frame, which manifests for our design in a gridded pattern defined by the site and planes of the core, provides elements of security and visual definition. The artifacts have been entrusted to our care, and as we stand in the wings we hope that the stage we provided allows them to be seen and appreciated.
