Our core concept is visual dislocation. In certain perspectives, people will be misled into wrong perceptions, but after changing the perspective, the visitor will realize that the spatial perception just now is wrong. This interaction is interesting and playable.

From the design method, we used a lot of curves to cut the bonding box, and then removed the excess part. According to the outline of the artifact, we designed spaces of different scales, and created interesting spaces with curves that fit the shape of the artifact. For example, this basket artifact has very attractive curves when viewed from the outside, so we retained this feature to create the specific gap for it.

Our design logic is based on the most basic bonding box and simplifies the most basic curve by extracting the graphic language of the artifacts. The bounding box is continuously cut through the surfaces extruded from these curves, and by referring to the shape of the artifact, some interesting spaces are reserved, and the excess parts are removed, and finally, our final chamber is obtained. During the design process, we modified the cutting details several times to have our chamber fit the shape of our artifacts better and to figure out the most interesting spatial possibility. For example, from the very beginning of our design progress, by analyzing the artifact of the basket, we found that the surfaces created by its curvature are great potential to create interesting space, we decided to start with these curvatures to design the space, we tried several extruding approaches and directions for these curvatures to figure out how the surfaces extruded from them work together better and more harmonious.
