In the mixing chamber, we integrated our 3’s approaches as a whole. Since all of our artifacts’ shapes are round and all of our containers’ outlines are curved, we decided to use continuous curves as our design strategy to shape the outlines and interior spaces for our group mixing chamber. Fluid curvatures were used to generate dynamic outlines, surfaces, spaces and the void. Basic elements of our previous containers were extracted and combined together. We first create a figural mass and then use curved lines and surfaces to split the mass into parts. After reorganizing the blocks and getting rid of the redundant parts, the original absence could be exposed and what was interior therefore became exterior. The parts being deleted create void&absence for views looking through/in while the remaining parts give viewers a sense of continuity and dynamism as well. Thus, space where artifacts are supposed to be placed are not purely cutted but formed by different curved surfaces wrapped together, so the transition from exterior to interior, from outline to inner holes can be more smooth.
