Ornamentation has become an invocation of resemblance; a representation in the transcendence of history, frozen in time. From Louis Sullivan to Frank Lloyd Wright, its organic aspirations both obscure architecture (manipulating surface tectonics) and rely on architecture (using composition to reinforce its presence). Embellished Antiquities melds both languages into a single chamber, suggesting the evolution of history into myth; an enchantment of a narrative fascinated by itself, entangling three artifacts’ histories into one of equal importance.
